Undercharging? Feel like you’re missing out on those mystical “dream clients” you keep hearing others speak about? If you answered yes to any of these…this is the course for you! The truth is, too many groomers don’t realize that they simply own their job and not their business. Key Takeaways: Boundary & Goal Setting; Business Finances & Budgeting; Pricing; Work/Life
Balance; Habit Formation; Branding Yourself & Your Business; SOPs; Client Interactions;
Profitability
Looking for a way to stand out among the hundreds of other groomers in your area? Perhaps you’re tired of explaining yourself & getting clients that just aren’t a good fit for you or don’t “get you”. Then, every once in a while that unicorn comes in & everything just clicks. Wouldn’t it be great if every client was like that? It can be! A strong brand is so much more than a catchy name, slogan, & cool logo. Dive in to the whole world of what makes your business tick so you can magnetize a thriving list of adoring clients who seek you out & remind you of why you do what you do. This is also great for non-business owners who desire to hone in on their own style of grooming.
Ever catch yourself saying or thinking “I’m sorry”, “I can’t”, “I wish”, “I want”, “money doesn’t grow on trees”, “I should/shouldn’t” or “I’m not good enough”? What about saying “yes” when you really mean “no” or the other way around? Do you often turn down invitations or ideas because you think you can’t afford it, you aren’t good enough, or you can’t begin to imagine how or where to start? Then you MUST attend this seminar! Our world is filled with outdated beliefs & limited thinking that holds us back & takes us out the game before we’ve even started. Here, you’ll learn how you think, where these thoughts came from, & how to reprogram yourself so you can start living the reality you didn’t think was possible for you. This is great for everyone, especially managers so you can help catch contagious negativity before it becomes a disease in your salon.
Imposter Syndrome & Self-Sabotage! Need we say more? In an industry without regulation & many of us having learned our trade from a combination of information passed down from others, books, & social media, no wonder so many of us feel like we aren’t doing it right or aren’t good enough, or are constantly second guessing ourselves. We procrastinate, don’t put ourselves or our work out there, don’t charge nearly enough, don’t speak up or stand our ground firmly enough when dealing with clients, & the list goes on, far outside of the salon. The good news? It’s not your fault! In this extremely unique workshop, you’re going to be guided to dive into understanding yourself in a deeper way than ever before to understand what your true saboteur is, heal unresolved trauma from your past, & reprogram your limiting beliefs so you can get out of your own way. If you’re ready for life changing transformation, this is the place you have to be!
Let’s be frank. Your business runs on shampoo, and “Tub Time” is the most critical phase of the grooming process. The liquid products you use impact your business’ success. There are products out there that do most of the hard work for you. However, these typically get overlooked, even though they save a ton of time, and time is money for grooming professionals. In fact, you may have some of these products in your salon right now staring you in the face! We will reveal these, what key ingredients to look for, discuss pH, the myths behind dilution rates, breakthrough conditioners, whiteners, deodorizers, facial washes and more. Most importantly we will reveal the best methods for using these products and how to actually “do more with less”.
It’s easy to overlook how professional grooming is an intricate process. We will Identify the Key Elements required to manage a successful, efficient, and stress-free grooming environment. Not understanding these elements can make for an up-hill struggle of “trial and error”, not to mention unnecessary physical and mental anguish often leading to burn out or failure. This visual presentation and discussion will illustrate how applying simple coat & skin facts, basic hair care chemistry, and scientifically proven methods relates to developing a more mindful grooming protocol for mastering one’s tools, equipment, techniques, safety and health. Balancing these elements will help you manage a more successful and effective business overall.

I’m Michelle Danielle Worthy. I’m 43 and have been in the industry since 1991. I’m known for my work with Asian Fusion, classy creative abstract designs, coat carving and Model dogs. I’ve been competing since 2014 and am an open level competitor and international Certified Master Groomer. I was the Lead Instructor at Nash Academy for 2 years. I’ve competed and held titles in multiple countries. To include my time on the USA model dog team, I have judged non sanctioned grooming competitions and dabbled in confirmation shows. I’m a global educator for Andis clipper company and a reference groomer for Hydra. I’m very passionate about continued education, inspiring others to create art on dogs and bettering the future of our industry. I’ve been a business owner since 2010, by owning both a brick and mortar and Mobile salon. Currently, I’m the owner of The Pet Studio (a luxury salon) in Clarksville, Tennessee. I personally own 7 poodles, a Bedlington terrier, English and American cocker spaniels.
